These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the BYOKChat website at https://byokchat.com ("Website") and the chatbot hosting service we provide. By using our Website and services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of BYOKChat

BYOKChat is a platform that allows users to create and embed AI-powered chatbots on their websites. Users bring their own AI provider API keys (BYOK — Bring Your Own Key) from providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google. BYOKChat uses these keys to power the chatbots on the user's behalf.

2. One-Time Purchase

BYOKChat is available via a one-time purchase. There are no recurring subscription fees. The plans available are:
- Starter: one active chatbot
- Pro: unlimited chatbots

Once purchased, you retain access to the plan you purchased indefinitely.

3. Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)

You are responsible for providing valid API keys from your chosen AI provider, and for any usage costs charged by that provider. BYOKChat stores your API keys in encrypted form and uses them solely to process chat messages from your chatbot visitors. You are responsible for keeping your API keys valid and within your provider's usage limits.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use BYOKChat to create chatbots that:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Distribute spam, malware, or harmful content
- Harass, deceive, or harm individuals
- Infringe on intellectual property rights

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

5. User Data and Privacy

We collect and store data as described in our Privacy Policy at https://byokchat.com/privacy-policy. Conversation logs and lead emails collected by your chatbots are stored in your account and are your responsibility.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

BYOKChat is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We are not responsible for the content or accuracy of responses generated by AI models using your API keys.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BYOKChat shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. You will be notified of significant changes via email.
